Illustration Academy Forums/Slack Channels

If you participate in a Illustration Academy discussion, Slack channel, Facebook group or chat room, you should be aware that the information you provide there could be made broadly available to others, potentially inside or outside Zoom, who have access to that data. Also, recognize that individual channels, groups, and chat rooms may have additional rules and conditions. Each participant's opinion on a forum or chat room is his or her own and does not reflect the opinion of Illustration Academy. All communication connected to Illustration Academy is recorded and can be used for any purposes necessary and could be made visible publicly for promotion or other purposes.

Classes, Webinars, Online Meetings, Online Portfolio Reviews Using Zoom:

The Illustration Academy does not host any online events or products, but may use resources via Visual Arts Passage for online events and/or Portfolio Reviews for Illustration Academy Applicants. If you participate in one of these features that allows for Recordings, including online meetings with Illustration Academy staff, such as any class, recording, portfolio review, or webinar, The Illustration Academy and/or Visual Arts Passage collects information from you that you provide in connection with such use and through such Recordings, to the extent you provide it to us. This information may include Personal Data, if you provide with Personal Data during a class, workshop, webinar via chat, video, audio or digital screen sharing. This personal information may be shared publicly and made visible to the public. We are not liable for any date you may intentionally or unintentionally share during our online classes. Users are liable for anything malicious they share during any online event and The Illustration Academy is not responsible for anything shared by any attendee or panelist. Transfer and Storage of Personal Data

Our Products are hosted and operated in the United States (“U.S.”) through Squarespace and its service providers. We may transfer your Personal Data to the U.S., to any Illustration Academy affiliate worldwide, or to third parties acting on our behalf for the purposes of processing or storage. By using any of our Products or providing any Personal Data for any of the purposes stated above, you consent to the transfer and storage of your Personal Data, whether provided by you or obtained through a third party, to the U.S. as set forth herein, including the hosting of such Personal Data on U.S. servers.

EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield
Illustration Academy participates in and has certified its compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield. Illustration Academy is committed to subjecting all Personal Data received from EU member countries and Switzerland, in reliance on the Privacy Shield Frameworks, to the Framework's applicable Principles.
